Simple Fall Decor

We have a 1200 square foot home which is somewhat on the small end. I have found that I like a few seasonal items to decorate around the main living areas rather than having the house stuffed with seasonal decor. I like to call it “subtle touches” of fall.

Everything that I decorated with was either from Dollar Tree or Walmart on after season 75% of clearance.

This is our centerpiece on the dining room table. During the summer I had sand in the glass jars and a yellow wreath around the jars. I kept the same jars and tealights and just added acorns and a large felt leaf.

Thank you! I really enjoy decorating it, even if it's not a lot to decorate. 🙂

Hurray for after-season clearance! I love buying things at the end of the season and tucking them away to be re-discovered the next year. Your home is so cozy and festive! Our house is about the same size as yours and I totally get the need to keep it simple. Love it!

I'm a sucker for end of the season clearance! Having a small house helps keep me in check, so I don't buy too much 😉

Emily, that centerpiece is so lovely and cozy! I LOVE it. I am uncrafty, but I think even I could do that! 🙂 I'm hosting my in-laws for Thanksgiving (insert fear and trembling), so I might have to take my centerpiece inspiration from you! 😉 Happy Fall, oh Queen!

Haha! I think I would be trembling if I had to host Thanksgiving too! I like crafty things, but not when it gets too complicated!

I love the natural simplicity to your decor!! Beautiful!!

P.S. One time I put acorns in a glass centerpiece but they grew WORMS!! So be careful that they are dried out and no little guys are hiding in them! 😉

Thanks for the warning, Laura! I've actually used these acorns for 4-5 years now and no worms. But I will remember that if I ever collect more 😉

It's the little touches that matter- My favorite thing is the little felt coaster. So pretty!
