Merry Christmas and Our 2015 Christmas Card

I hope that you have a Merry Christmas! We traveled to Nebraska last week to celebrate Christmas with my side of the family and made it back to Florida on Wednesday. It was a long trip, and we are glad to be home and ready to celebrate today at home.

This Christmas has been especially fun celebrating with our son. I am really excited for him to open his presents this year! Who knew buying Christmas gifts for your own kids was more fun than getting presents?!

For this year’s Christmas card, I wanted to take Caleb’s picture in front of the Christmas tree like I did last year, but that proved impossible. Instead I ended up chasing him around the backyard with my camera trying to get a decent photo! The picture that I used is not exactly what I wanted, but it perfectly illustrates my son this year, so we went with it.

I’m so thankful to celebrate Christ’s birth. He came so that he could be born. But then he died on a cross for your sin and my sin. He didn’t stay dead. He conquered death by living again, so that the world might have eternal life! What a wonderful promise to celebrate this Christmas.

~Isaiah 9:6~

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

~Philippians 2:8-10~

And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
