Comment Policy

Your comments are important to me, and it makes my day when you take the time to respond to my articles. All comments must be approved by the blog administrator before being published. If you have an opposing view or constructive criticism, your thoughts are welcome and I will consider what you say. However, if you choose to use hurtful words to attack, your comment will not be approved or published.

The Federal Trade Commission’s {FTC}  guidelines regarding endorsements and testimonials protect the public from any intentionally errant or misleading advertising that has been paid for by a group or company. Queen of the Household is a source of income for my family, and occasionally I will share endorsements or testimonials. For that reason, please be advised of the following:

  1. My goal is to always provide helpful articles by way of inspiration, practical tips, and at times product endorsement. However, I will NEVER compromise this blog, my integrity, or my readers trust by endorsing anything just to make money.
  2. Since Queen of the Household is a source of income, running this blog costs money, and I put many, many hours of work into this blog, there may be times when it is used to promote products, services, or other businesses.
  3. I only promote products, services, and businesses that I believe will benefit my readers.

Privacy Policy

I respect your privacy and want to protect it. This Privacy Policy informs you what personally identifiable information I may collect and how it may be used.

Information You Voluntarily Submit: When you leave a comment, subscribe to my newsletter, or submit a contact form, you voluntary submit things such as your name and email address. If you create a user profile, that means you will create a username and password. Your username will be stored, but your password will not be visible in my records.

Information We Collect from Others: If you link your Facebook and/or Google accounts to your user profile, I will receive your name, email address and profile picture that is associated with your account.  Queen of the Household allows you the option of using the Facebook commenting system, therefore if you choose to comment on a poster page, your profile picture will show up.

Automatically-Collected Information: Queen of the Household automatically collects certain information about you and the device with which you access the Website. For example, when you use the Queen of the Household, your IP address, operating system type, browser type, referring website, pages you viewed, links you clicked, and the dates/times when you accessed Queen of the Household will be logged.

Cookies: I may use both session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which stay on your browser until deleted, to provide you with a more personalized experience on the Queen of the Household. Cookies are data files that are stored on your browser.

Google Analytics – this service tracks Website usage and provides information such as referring websites and user actions on the Website. Google Analytics may capture your IP address, but no other personal information is captured by Google Analytics.

Mailerlite – this service is used for delivery of email optins and newsletters. We store your name and email address for purposes of delivering such communications.

Mediavine – this service is used to display ads on Queen of the Household. You may see ads based on the cookies on your browser that is described above.

I use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our web site. These companies may use aggregated information (not including your name, address, email address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. Otherwise, this blog does not share personal information with third parties nor does it store any information about your visit to this blog except what is used to analyze and optimize your content and reading experience through the use of cookies that was explained above.

NEWSLETTERS

You may subscribe to my email newsletter, which may be used for advertising purposes from time to time. All newsletters sent may contain tracking pixels. The pixel is embedded in emails and allows an analysis of the success of online marketing campaigns. Because of these tracking pixels, we may see if and when you open an email and which links within the email you click. Also, this allows the Website to adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the user. This behavior will not be passed on to third parties.
