Are you looking for stocking stuffer ideas for 2 year olds? I’ve got the best ideas that are sure to please your toddler on Christmas morning!
My kids have always looked forward to seeing what I put in their stockings. It also a lot of fun for me to fill their stockings!
I love going on the search for some of their favorite things.
Christmas stockings have been a tradition even since my baby’s first Christmas and we have continued the tradition even now that my children are big kids.
But finding the perfect stocking stuffer may feel hard, especially since your toddler doesn’t usually have the ability to tell you what they want quite yet.
However, getting small gifts for your toddler’s stocking actually doesn’t have to be hard or even cost that much.
Little kids have no idea how much items cost, and really don’t care. They will just love opening their stocking of fun little surprises. Many items can even be purchased at Dollar Tree. You could potentially fill a stocking for under $5!
It actually doesn’t take much to fill a stocking, so if you only want to buy 2-3 small gift that you think will be a favorite, then don’t worry about getting a lot or filling the stocking to the brim.
What to put in a toddler’s stocking
You will want to save the big gifts for under the tree. The stocking is just fun little gifts. I like to keep it pretty simple by only adding 2-3 toy gifts.
It’s also a tradition in our family to add a toothbrush and toothpaste. Sometimes we do practical gifts such as socks and underwear too.
Of course, most toddlers are still in the season of putting little things in their mouths. So you’ll want to avoid small items that could be a choking hazard.
There are also traditional candies that we put in our kid’s stockings. They love getting flavored candy canes and chocolate coal. Even now, you can begin creating Christmas traditions with your toddler. Maybe they can’t have candy, but you could add crackers or a special age appropriate treat.
Here’s an example of what I put in my son’s stocking when he was a toddler:
- socks
- flashlight
- monster truck
- toothbrush
- toothpaste
- candy cane
- chocolate Christmas tree
